Immunization Info
Immunization Information
Oregon law requires students to have the immunizations outlined in the document viewer below.
Find immunization and exemption data
Oregon school immunization and exemption data can be found on the Oregon Health Authority website, which provides the most up-to-date county- and school-level immunization data. Schools must share their immunization and exemption rates for each vaccine required for school attendance twice a year: within 30 days of the beginning of the school year and within 30 days after Exclusion Day (which is always the third Wednesday in February).
Click the links below for Riverdale's Immunization and Exemption Rates:
The state aims for at least 95% of children to be immunized for community protection, though the percentage varies by disease. When 95% of children are vaccinated in a school or child care, this significantly reduces the chance of spreading the disease among vulnerable individuals.
Non-Medical Exemptions
Senate Bill 895 is a law about school immunizations that went into effect during the 2015-2016 school year and continues today. Key changes made by Senate Bill 895:
Religious exemptions signed prior to March 1, 2014 are no longer valid. Parents who are requesting a non-medical immunization exemption will now be required to complete the new two-step process below prior to Exclusion Day in February.
Schools and children’s facilities will be required to have their immunization and exemption rates available at their main offices, on their websites (this page serves that need) and for parents on paper or electronic format.
If you are experiencing trouble viewing the embedded document, simply click to view a PDF of the Immunization Requirements by Grade.

Volunteer
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS & DIRECTIONS
-
Create an account with Verified Volunteers and start your background check.
-
You will receive an email with your approval status.
-
-
You will not be allowed to volunteer until your school receives a clearance after the background check is completed. The approval/declination process may take a week or more depending on the time of year (beginning of the school year and field trip season are the busiest.)
-
This process must be completed EVERY YEAR. At the end of that period, you will be asked to verify all information has remained the same and the screening will be re-run, before you can volunteer again.
-
If there is a concern with the result reported from the background check, you will be contacted by the school.
-
Additional Requirement
Please check in with the front office staff upon arrival and follow their instructions to ensure you're properly checked in.
VOLUNTEER THROUGH PTC
Are you interested in helping out in the classroom, in the library, at an event, at a game or with a fundraiser. To find volunteer opportunities, visit the Riverdale PTC website. You'll want to be sure to complete a volunteer application and background check. More details can be found below.
LEND A SKILLED HAND AT SCHOOL
Do you have a passion for writing? Do you do graphic design? Are you a photographer or videographer? Are you great in the garden? Is there something you love to do and are great at doing? Offer your services to help out the district or either school. There's probably a staff member looking for help with the skill you have to share.
VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS
