Welcome to Riverdale High School
Riverdale High School offers an intimate approach focused on individualized, college preparatory education and complemented by a wide range of co-curricular activities. Honors coursework is available for all core classes and students perform 90 hours of community service and complete an intensive capstone project.
An eye toward college
The college-going culture at Riverdale High School begins freshman year. And upon graduation, our seniors possess the skills, motivation and self-awareness needed to succeed in college and in life. Riverdale graduates continue their academic careers at some of the nation’s finest colleges and universities.

Riverdale 5th graders visited Tryon Creek State Natural Area for an Earth Day Field Trip! They explored Oregon's unique ecosystems and learned how we can all protect our planet against climate change.

On February 7, 2025 Riverdale hosted its 6th Annual Gentrification Summit: a day of discussion, analysis, and creative reflection on the causes, impacts, and possible solutions of gentrification.
Riverdale 2nd graders held a gathering inspired by the Native American tradition of Potlatch, to celebrate their learning about the Native Americans of the Northwest Coast.
Families joined in a community event, sharing food and viewing student projects.
Ten of our 7th and 8th-grade students placed and will be advancing to the local National Civics Bee!
